Professional Creative.

Less Professional Comedian.

Born in New York, raised in Colorado, and based in DC, Kevin Seefried is a creative and comedian who wears a lot of hats (specifically minor league baseball caps) and has a soft-spot for anyone who’s ever paid him a compliment.

As a Senior Creative Writer at NBCUniversal, Kevin develops, pitches, and scripts content for branded partnerships across the company’s portfolio, brings big ideas to large-scale events like the Upfront, and contributes to a wide range of internal creative projects.

With over a decade of experience as a stand-up comic, Kevin brings a unique set of skills to the table that — if nothing else — makes every pitch pretty entertaining.

Here are some fun facts in case you ever need to impersonate Kevin during an icebreaker.

  • As a high-schooler, Kevin ran a baseball blog (the late, great 6pound8ouncebabyjoba.com), the title of which was supposed to nod to Will Ferrell’s famous “baby Jesus” prayer in Talladega Nights and suggest that Joba Chamberlain would be the New York Yankees’ savior. Well…we were WAY off with regards to Mr. Chamberlain and upon rewatching the Powerade-sponsored prayer…looks like we somehow got the quote wrong too?

  • Kevin grew up playing competitive roller hockey. Just before turning 30, he thought “hey, why not try that again for the first time in 20 years!” Anyway, he signed up for a league, skated onto the rink, and broke his elbow 35 minutes later.

  • Yes, Kevin was the unofficial mascot for his high school’s sports teams. No, the costume was not flattering. Yes, his wife is aware of this embarrassing chapter in his life. No, she does not seem bothered by it. Yes, that’s weird — no?

  • Oh, also - there is a domestic terrorist who happens to be named Kevin Seefried too. It’s a different guy, though. A bad guy, if I had to describe him. So, if you Google “Kevin Seefried” and terrorism pops up — you know, scroll a little further. Not convinced? Here’s a story about it in the Washington Post.
